Comprehensive Dental Care refers to your overall Oral Health, and the work we do during your regular visits to help you maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. Occasionally through your lifetime you may require specific treatments to deal with specific oral care issues, but one of the best ways to maintain your dental health is to have your teeth professionally cleaned by one of our hygienists on a regular basis and practice effective home care.

Sedation Dentistry

Are you putting off treatment because you're nervous about going to the dentist? Put your mind at ease and get the treatment you need with Sedation Dentistry. From nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help you relax, to IV sedation techniques, where you gently drift off to sleep (all while supervised by a registered nurse accompanying the dentist) while Dr. Chari or Dr. Saggar complete the procedure, you CAN relax while at the Dentist's Office. Preventative Care

Preventative Care is our primary focus for all our patients. The large majority of dental care problems can be avoided or minimized by early detection and by implementing preventive treatment. We work with our patients to establish an oral care regimen, or routine, from ensuring regular visits with our staff to laying out a plan of action for you to follow at home between visits - together we can maintain your optimal dental health care before problems arise.

Dental Implants

Dental implants have been used in dentistry for many years, the first dental implant placement being recorded in the early 1950's.   Although dental implants have been used for decades, their use is becoming more widespread and is now a more popular choice when replacing missing teeth. 
There are  many benefits to having a dental implant placed compared to conventional bridges or dentures.  The main benefit - of a dental implant is that you do not have to utilize or damage the adjacent teeth like conventional bridges or dentures.  The dental implant essentially replaces the root of the missing tooth and is acts as a natural tooth root would, as the x-ray to the right shows.

Dental Rehabilitation

Teeth Whitening

Mount Joy Dental offers two ways to make your smile brighter - in the office, or at home. Ask us if dental whitening is right for you!
We offer in office teeth whitening using the "Everbright Whitening System", which can be done in about an hour and a half.  This system causes little to no sensitivity and allows us to whiten without the use of damaging UV rays.  You will leave our office with an instantly whiter, brighter smile.
Alternatively, you can whiten your teeth at home with the Nite Whitening professional teeth whitening system under the supervision of Dr. Chari or Dr. Saggar.

Dental Restorations

Dental restorations are commonly referred to as "fillings" or "caps" There are many different types of dental restorations available today.

• Basic restorative care with composite resin (white) filling material.
• Major restorative care with laboratory fabricated crowns; veneers and onlays made from porcelain and cast precious metal (gold, platinum & palladium).
• Tooth replacement with dental implants, bridges and dentures.

One of the best ways to restore a tooth that has been damaged is by using the CEREC CAD/CAM system.  By choosing to restore your tooth with a CEREC 3D porcelain restoration, you will be gaining a long lasting, biocompatible and esthetically pleasing restoration.  CEREC porcelain material is the closest to your natural tooth structure, allows us to maintain as much of your natural tooth structure as possible and restores your tooth back to 95% of its natural strength. It is stronger then the typical plastic resin used to restore smaller cavities.  Your beautiful porcelain restoration is milled (fabricated) on site at our office which eliminates the need for a second or even 3rd appointment  All of these benefits make the CEREC restoration the most cost effective restoration available today.
